After a hugely successful first year, The Mighty Quiz has been relaunched for 2018. It provides quizmasters with the tools to host their own events and raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

The Mighty Quiz is far from your average quiz. As well as general knowledge and themed question rounds, there are also hilarious extra challenges, such as building a tower using only spaghetti and marshmallows, and dressing up one of your team with tin foil, newspapers, bin liners and toilet paper.

How you organise your event is up to you. You can choose the date, venue and the amount of people you’d like to attend.

Kyle Lockhart, Alzheimer’s Research UK Regional Fundraising Officer for the Scotland, said: “The Mighty Quiz blends traditional quiz elements and challenge rounds, making it accessible to all. Mighty Quizzes are easy to organise, with a host of different rounds and challenges to choose from.

“There are around 70,000 people with dementia in Scotland. The vital funds raised from quizzes will power world-class dementia research projects and help bring an end to the fear, harm and heartbreak of dementia.”

The Quizmaster packs have everything you need for your event, including loads of questions, answer sheets, information for challenge and puzzle rounds, certificates to give to the Mighty Quiz champions and lots of tips to ensure your event is a great success. There are also online tools to help you produce a poster to publicise your event, plus images to use to help get the word out on social media.

Alzheimer’s Research UK has funded around 60 research projects in Scotland providing grants totalling £6.7m. For further information about the charity visit www.alzheimersresearchuk.org
