The Green Team reflects on some of the positive outcomes for the Edinburgh-based charity in 2021.
2021 is starting to feel a little distant as the recent sunshine has highlighted the arrival of spring 2022. However, as we look ahead, the Green Team are keen to reflect on some of the positive outcomes for the Edinburgh-based charity in 2021.
They have published their first ever Impact Report. It shares their story of 2021 and celebrates the many successes of the young people involved in Green Team programmes – programmes that connect young people to nature, others and themselves.
The last few years have been very challenging for us all. Young people have been coping with interrupted schooling and many have struggled with social isolation or poor mental health. With the backdrop of the climate crisis here hasn’t been much good news.
However, one of the positives of lockdowns has been a great appreciation of the natural world and the benefits of spending time in greenspaces. The value of nature is at the heart of everything that the Green Team does – providing opportunities to get involved in environmental conservation, to learn in the outdoors, to play and explore, to make friends, enjoy respite, develop skills and achieve awards.
Take 5 minutes to read about the positive impact the Green Team has made in 2021 as they continue their important work in 2022. https://www.greenteam.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/The-Green-Team-Impact-Report-2021-8-1-1.pdf
