The Futures We Want – are you ready to turn?

Posted: 8th March 2022

Delloitte are delighted to invite you to their Eco-nomic series – a programme of events with the intention to share and discuss the latest insights on climate and sustainability. By doing so, they hope to create awareness and an ongoing dialogue of the vital role that business has to play in addressing climate change, as well as contributing to a recovery that ensures a fairer, greener, more sustainable and resilient economy.

At their third event in this series, you will hear from two great speakers.

Dr. Siobhan Gardiner, a Director in our ESG Advisory practice, will talk about the road ahead following proceedings at COP26 in Glasgow. Siobhan will also present the Futures We Want project, a commissioned in 2021 by the UK in their role as COP26 President, which sought to explore what the future could look like in a climate-resilient, net-zero world.

You will also hear from Dr. Ric Simes, Senior Economic Advisor who will talk about our recently published report: Turning point. Time is running out to act on climate change. But rather than climate action being a drain on the economy, our insights show there is a window of opportunity to act now to significantly boost GDP and provide new employment opportunities for citizens.

This webinar will take place on Zoom between 09.00 and 10.00 on Thursday 10 March.
