The Balmoral Hotel and Capella Edina Announce Exclusive Offer

Posted: 21st May 2026

As fellow members of the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, The Balmoral Hotel and Capella Edina have
come together to highlight artistic excellence alongside excellent hospitality in an exclusive pre-concert dining
experience on 3rd June.

Ahead of Capella Edina’s performance at the Assembly Rooms, guests are invited to begin the evening at
Brasserie Prince, just a short walk from the venue, with a specially curated pre-concert menu designed for a
relaxed and elegant start to the night.

Capella Edina’s programme is a musical journey of pastoral calm and renewal, featuring Ralph Vaughan
Williams’s expressive Oboe Concerto, performed by virtuoso Ralf Ebner, alongside his Fantasia on a Theme by
Thomas Tallis. It continues with Benjamin Britten’s Suite on English Folk Tunes, marking 50 years since the
composer’s death, before culminating in Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring – a timeless evocation of hope,
simplicity, and new beginnings.

Guests can choose between a two-course menu for £78 or three courses for £88, both including a glass
of Ferrari on arrival and a ticket to the Capella Edina performance that evening. Pre-concert dining tables are
available at 17:30, 17:45, and 18:00, ensuring a seamless transition from dinner to performance.

A refined pairing of music, dining, and Edinburgh’s cultural atmosphere, this one-night collaboration
offers a memorable way to experience the city’s summer season.
