Tayside property expert to lead Aberdein Considine expansion into Perth and Dundee

Posted: 6th September 2019

One of Scotland’s most respected property lawyers has joined Aberdein Considine to lead its expansion across the Tayside region.

Lindsay Darroch has taken up a new role as Partner with the firm, with responsibility for the firm’s existing Tayside office and its expansion into Dundee.

The 48-year-old was previously a Partner at a Dundee based law firm, where he worked for 20 years, a role which included eight years on the board of the Tayside Solicitors Property Centre.

He is widely-regarded as a leading property expert and acts for a wide range of clients including private individuals, developers and property investors across the wider Tayside region.

Mr Darroch said he was delighted to be able to offer his clients the full breadth of property, legal and financial services through Aberdein Considine’s national infrastructure.

“Aberdein Considine is a national law firm with an enviable track record in estate agency, property and private client services.

It is committed to serving its clients both locally and digitally.  No other law firm offers the diversity of service lines, including independent financial services, across Scotland.

“The business is moving into Dundee at an exciting time for the city, with the delivery of the Waterfront Development. It is also a period of rising demand for property in the area.

“It is a clear vote of confidence in the regional economy, and the firm’s desire to offer clients national service at a local level.”

Mr Darroch is also a trustee at DFC in the Community Trust, a board member at Caledonia Housing Association and Clerk & Boxmaster at The Nine Incorporated Trades of Dundee.

He will be based across two Aberdein Considine offices – Perth High Street and the firm’s new location in the City of Discovery’s Flour Mill building – and will see clients in both locations.

Michael Sinclair, Senior Property Partner at Aberdein Considine, said the firm was delighted to have such a well-known local figure to spearhead its Tayside & Perth residential property operations.

“For decades, Lindsay has been a leading figure in the property sector, and for many is the go-to expert on the Dundee and Tayside markets,” he said.

“His extensive experience is drawn on by individuals, companies and trusts who appreciate his hands-on advice.

We already have a strong presence in the Angus market to the north and the Perth & Kinross market to the south, Lindsay’s appointment will allow us to extend this in Dundee with a well-respected local solicitor who has a love and passion for the area”

Aberdein Considine offers a full range of property, legal and financial services to corporate, commercial and private clients across 20 offices throughout Scotland.
