Take part in #MakeYourMark with The University of Edinburgh Business School

Posted: 17th November 2021

The University of Edinburgh Business School is hosting the sixth edition of #makeyourmark, its annual pitching competition for undergraduate students on 4-6 February 2022, and would like support from Chamber members during the ‘ask the expert’ session on Saturday 5th February, 15:00-16:30.

#makeyourmark is a challenge open to all University of Edinburgh undergraduate students to create a business idea that has a positive social impact by tackling inequality. Students are placed into small interdisciplinary groups where they build knowledge, contacts, and create and pitch a business idea that matches profit with purpose.

On the afternoon of Saturday 5th, they have the opportunity to have a number of short online appointments with experts to discuss and receive advice on their idea. We would very much like support for the Edinburgh business community to advise students on areas they must consider to ensure their idea is feasible; and invite participation from those who can advise (or direct the students to resources) on area including funding and financial planning, marketing and sales, communication and PR, and measuring impact (to name but a few!).

If you would like to participate or have any questions, please contact Shona Black, Head of Events at makeyourmark@business-school.ed.ac.uk.
