STV Player partners with Great! to expand on-demand content and distribute FAST channels for the first time
STV has launched a strategic content partnership with Narrative Entertainment that brings the Great! portfolio of FAST channels and on-demand programming to streaming service STV Player for the first time.
The agreement sees the Great! FAST channels and VOD content become available through STV Player, significantly expanding access to Great!’s extensive library of movies, drama and entertainment programming.
The partnership represents a significant milestone for both companies. It is the first time Narrative Entertainment has partnered with a public service media organisation, and it also marks STV Player’s first foray into FAST distribution.
The launch builds on Great!’s strong existing relationship with Scottish viewers. The broadcaster is watched by 14% of all Scottish viewers each month, with average watching up 22% from 2025 to 2026, reflecting strong demand for free-to-air entertainment. STV Player achieved its highest ever annual consumption in 2025, with total viewing hours of 75m, up 9% on the previous year.

The addition of Great! content further strengthens STV Player’s offering, providing viewers with access to thousands of hours of free programming spanning film, drama, crime, mystery and romance entertainment.
The new Great! FAST channels are available to stream on STV Player now and the VOD content will launch in July.
