Strengthen your business through sustainability

Posted: 2nd June 2016

There are many business benefits to improved sustainability including cost savings, enhanced competitiveness, improved reputation and staff retention.

Home Energy Scotland, the free impartial energy advice service, is holding a free half-day event for business. The event is designed to showcase the support services available to help businesses improve their environmental performance and save money.

Jill Fenton, Centre Manager for Home Energy Scotland South East “We are very excited to hold this event as it’s the first time we are bringing together the support services available for businesses, in partnership with Resource Efficient Scotland. It’s great that a number of our clients are speaking at the event to share their experience of improving business sustainability.”

“Working with Home Energy Scotland has given us the opportunity to look at innovative ways to reduce our business costs and environmental impact. They designed an effective employee engagement programme which is helping us to achieve our environmental aims whilst supporting our people at home.”  Linzi Simants, Financial Analyst, People’s Postcode Lottery.

Home Energy Scotland can help businesses to take action on sustainability and access the help and support available including Scottish Government funding. Last year our transport advisor helped local businesses save £121,682 and 187 tonnes of CO2 emissions and on average companies save over £13,000 after a business transport review.

The event is open to businesses of all sizes and sectors and will feature guest speakers from Edinburgh Leisure and the Royal Zoological Society.
