Posted: 19th January 2018

IMG_8596-2-1024Edinburgh Leisure is looking to recruit individuals with a passion for coaching to help support the growth of their successful gymnastics programme at various venues throughout Edinburgh Leisure.

No previous qualifications are required as Edinburgh Leisure will support coaches through the UKCC General Level 1 Gymnastics course, which will take place on Saturdays, 24 February and Saturday, 17 March.  Candidates must be available to attend on both days.

Karen McGrath, Gymnastics Development Officer at Edinburgh Leisure said: “Coaches within the Edinburgh Leisure programme, are responsible for helping our customers to have great fun, develop their skills, and keep the children and teenagers coming back for more.

“They play a key role in the gymnast’s fundamental development and help them to reach their full potential.  We are hoping to attract people from various backgrounds and ages so potentially parents looking for a change of career, school leavers or those looking for a part-time role. A passion for sport and being a motivated individual is more important in the first instance than experience, as we will be supporting all candidates through their training.”

The closing date for applications is Sunday, 4 February, with the assessment recruitment day taking place on Monday, 12 February.
