Creative agency Something Something Productions Ltd has signed a lease with Scottish Historic Buildings Trust to occupy 2,889 sq ft of office accommodation at St Ninian’s Manse, Quayside Street in Leith. The agency is the only occupier of this local landmark building constructed in the late 17^th Century, which underwent a full renovation in 1998 to create the current office configuration.

Since the regeneration of the area in the early 80s, Leith has developed into an effervescent shopping and eating-out haven. The old buildings and warehouses have been transformed into modern offices, which have become particularly attractive to creative agencies and young businesses who see Leith as a more lively alternative to Edinburgh’s city centre business district.

Mykay Kamara at Something Something, said: “We’re delighted to contribute and be part of this innovative and dynamic creative community in Leith. Having a work environment with such historic significance is also a privilege, and we are sure it will help increase the success of our business.”

Iain Taylor, Associate at Ryden, which represented SHBT, added: “Because of its unique background and history, this property attracted significant interest. We are convinced it will offer a fantastic base for a creative agency such as Something Something.”

Nestled amidst modern buildings and industrial units, St Ninian’s Manse is considered a hidden treasure. The chapel, established in 1493, was the home of North Leith Parish Church, playing a vital role in the development of the area. The adaptation of the manse building to offices was based on thorough documentary and physical research, allowing to keep the forms of the chimneys, weathercock, stone dormers and clock faces.
