Sign up for Simpson Associates and IBM for their GDPR Roundtable

Posted: 28th October 2016

Join Simpson Associates and IBM for our GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) roundtable event on the 17th November 2016 at IBM Edinburgh where we will discuss how organisations can improve their Data Governance and prepare for the imminent General Data Protection Regulation. The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) will be formally adopted on the 25th May 2018 to make Europe fit for the digital age. It forms a single set of rules across the EU whereby consumers have the right; to be forgotten, to know what information is stored and to the protection of their personal data. Failure to show compliance will result in fines of up to 20m Euros or 4% of annual turnover, whichever is the highest. During this roundtable session, we will be joined by Greg Campbell, Information Lifecycle Governance and E-discovery Legal Consultant at IBM. Greg will discuss the current steps organisations need consider, in order to reduce the risks associated with the GDPR legislation and ways in which they can start showing compliance in order to avoid hefty fines.
