Short Term Project Work for MSc Computing Students

Posted: 23rd January 2020

Edinburgh Napier University has issued a call for placement or project support for its MSc Computing course. The MSc Computing with Professional Placement programme is directed toward the University’s international student community.

The 2 year programme will see students study a variety of modules including: Web Development, Database Systems, Information Systems, Security, User Experience and Business Intelligence & Reporting.

The minimum entry requirement onto the course is a Bachelor (Honours) Degree at a 2:1 or equivalent. The course is intended to give international students “valuable work experience in a UK-based organisation” whilst providing the opportunity for employers to capitalise on a pool of talented and enthusiastic student and give them a project of business benefit.

Placements will run for a minimum of 180 hours, starting in January 2020, and can be undertaken on part-time or full time basis.

Placements may be extended if the situation proves “mutually beneficial” for both the student and the employer and possible funding support is available.
