Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa invites guests to recharge during the Fringe

Posted: 26th July 2018

Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is encouraging guests staying at the hotel during the Edinburgh Fringe to spare 20 minutes to relax after the fun of the festival.

The 5* hotel recently launched Soak Your Senses, an in-room multi-sensory bath experience, aimed at busy travellers who don’t have enough time to relax, unwind and re-centre at the spa whilst away from home. For just £20, guests can upgrade their stay to include an indulgent bath experience, allowing them to recharge in 20 minutes, all from the comfort of their room or suite.

Tristan Nesbitt, General Manager at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, said: “Last year during the Fringe, there were 3,398 shows playing at 300 venues across Edinburgh. With so much to see and do, visitors can exhaust themselves racing from one side of the city to the other to catch the next performance.

“We find our guests staying during the Fringe are often here for a few days only. This doesn’t leave them much time to relax after an action-packed day. However, with Soak Your Senses they can benefit from a luxurious quick fix, ensuring they are fully recharged and ready to enjoy the rest of their time at the Festival.”

To soak all of their senses, guests select ingredients from a menu in their room to evoke one of six feelings: Relaxed, Energised, Focussed, Inspired, Calm & Centred or Revived.

The package, which is delivered to their room, consists of specially chosen ESPA bath oils, freshly brewed specialty loose leaf tea and an exfoliating wash glove. For the ultimate therapeutic ambience, guests are instructed to activate their bathroom’s colour changing mood lights and are given paired music recommendations to play through the bathroom’s in-built speakers. The Energising option of the menu, for example, consists of a red light setting with a Fitness Bath Oil to soothe and relieve tired muscles, paired with some upbeat jazz and Mighty Assam tea.

The experience has even been tried and tested by kilted yoga YouTube star and mindfulness advocate, Tristan Cameron Harper. The Scottish Instagrammer, who can often be found mastering a Munro and exploring Scotland’s stunning scenery, described Soak Your Senses as the highlight of his stay.

‘Soak Your Senses’ is available for all guests staying at Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa during the Edinburgh Fringe and is priced at £20. This includes a 15ml bath oil that will last for 1-2 baths; freshly brewed loose leaf tea and an exfoliating wash glove. There is also the option to elevate the bath ritual to include an indulgent glass of champagne. Guests can order the experience through the hotel’s ‘Let’s Chat’ service using WhatsApp, iMessage or SMS, from their room or via the Concierge desk.
