Shepherd and Wedderburn Attends Premier Global Oil and Gas Conference

Posted: 29th April 2016

Next week, leading international energy professionals will gather at this year’s Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) which returns to NRG Park in Houston, Texas.

Labelled as the offshore energy industry’s premier global event, OTC brings together global industry leaders, investors, buyers and entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and opinions that will advance scientific and technical knowledge for offshore resources and environmental matters.

The week-long event attracts more than 100,000 professionals from over 130 countries, making it an ideal platform for international networking and the sharing of technology, expertise, products and best practices globally.

With extensive experience advising key industry players across the spectrum of oil projects, leading UK law firm, Shepherd and Wedderburn’s highly regarded oil and gas team will be represented at the event by Chairman, Paul Hally, Corporate Partner, Stephen Trombala and Consultant, John Rutherford.

The team, who recently advised Bowleven, an African focussed E&P, in its US$250m sale of interests in Cameroon’s most promising offshore development area, the Etinde Permit, combines extensive sector knowledge with exceptional M&A, capital markets, finance, share incentives, projects, litigation and regulatory expertise to deliver an integrated service to its international client base.

Hally commented: “Shepherd and Wedderburn’s oil and gas clients operate globally, and we act for them wherever they transact business. Attending the OTC presents us with a fantastic opportunity to meet up with them, connect with new operators, and to hear and see the new technologies emerging in the sector.”
