Sharktower headquarters in Edinburgh and aims to be a global leader in AI-driven project management software after launch of new business
After five years of development, testing and proving of Sharktower’s project management software as part of Mudano Limited’s consulting business, within numerous Tier 1 FS client projects and enterprise change portfolios; the product has launched as a separate standalone SaaS business, Sharktower AI Limited on 24th February.
Now headquartered in Edinburgh, the team aims to expand to over 50 next year with further investment plans to support channel and international expansion towards becoming a global leader in AI-driven project management software.

Forming the new business focused entirely on their vision of building the autonomous project, will enable the company to accelerate their R&D into AI-driven project management solutions, as well as accelerating the expansion of their product offerings and partnerships.

Sharktower is AI for portfolio and project management. It provides portfolio insights visualisation, predictive analytics and decision-making without bias. Helping project teams spot and mitigate problems before they happen.

About the Company
Developed as a solution for delivering their professional services in a more transparent and data-driven way, Sharktower was originally conceived as part of Mudano Limited. Founded in November 2014, Mudano has since seen significant growth as a leading FS data services and solutions consultancy in the UK. The first-generation version of Sharktower BETA went live in March 2015.
As part of this, Sharktower benefited from over five years of continual development and live proving as Mudano’s delivery platform for client projects, as well as extended usage by their clients on their own internal projects. This included significant research collaboration with our customers, that provided the test bed for our data-driven features in Sharktower.
In October 2017 we opened our Edinburgh office as part of a £6M investment over three years into Sharktower’s AI R&D, including matched funding and support from Scottish Enterprise. This also resulted in an entire re-build of the Sharktower platform from the ground up to transform the product’s scalability, tech stack and UI to our next generation version, which launched in December 2018.
This has provided us with the privileged position of having a mature product that has been thoroughly market- and user-tested. In August 2019 we took Sharktower direct to market as a B2B SaaS offering with a soft launch.
This resulted in the subsequent spin-out to a standalone software business, Sharktower AI Ltd, in February 2020. The business has raised a further +£3M seed funding from the Mudano co-founders and existing Sharktower leadership team to accelerate market plans 2020.
