SBF Political Hustings: Friday 18 March 2016, Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow

In advance of the forthcoming Scottish Parliamentary elections, the Scottish Building Federation is holding a special cross-party political hustings event focusing on the construction industry on Friday 18 March 2016 at the Grand Central Hotel, 99 Gordon Street, Glasgow, G1 3SF.

11:30am – 12.45pm          Registration, Networking and Lunch with a variety of partner exhibitions including CITB, B&CE, CSCS, SBATC and HSE – Ballroom Annex

1:00pm – 2:30pm              Cross-party political Hustings – Main Ballroom

The hustings will be chaired by renowned journalist Bill Jamieson and will adopt a ‘Question Time’ panel discussion format.

Following extensive consultation with Members, SBF will launch our election manifesto entitled ‘Towards Sustainable Growth in Scottish Construction’ ahead of the hustings which will concentrate on the key areas of Planning, Skills, Energy Efficiency, Capital Investment and Procurement.

It is envisaged that the manifesto and hustings event will help to raise the profile of priority issues for the Scottish construction industry and a number of leading politicians have already confirmed their participation;
