Office take-up increases on the outskirts of Edinburgh’s city centre as Ryden announces four new lettings at Roddinglaw Business Park near Edinburgh International Airport.

The property consultancy secured new leases with Wardman UK Limited, Evolution Security, JL Com and WR Smartphone Ltd all of which were secured on five to ten-year leases at rents of £12 per sq ft. Office sizes ranged from 101 sq m (1,091 sq ft) to 205 sq m (2,210 sq ft).

Roddinglaw is a former dairy farm converted into a high-quality business centre comprising self-contained office buildings in a courtyard setting within an attractive countryside location.  Following these latest deals, the business park is almost fully let, with only two suites remaining.

Cameron Whyte, surveyor at Ryden who handled the lettings, said: “The business park is set in an attractive location, just outside of Edinburgh city centre and in close proximity to Livingston, Newbridge, Edinburgh Airport and the major motorway networks.  This strategic location, combined with the stunning views and the fact that each office was recently refurbished, helped us to secure these tenants on behalf of our client.”

JL Com Group noted: “We love the distinctiveness that Roddinglaw Business Park provides for our business. The strategic locational advantages and value for money were all high on our agenda when seeking new offices.”

Evolution Security Ltd added: “As a company we were originally based at Edinburgh Park which is the nearest major business park to Roddinglaw. By just moving down the road we have more space for less money, together with great communications and on-site management in a fantastic rural setting.”
