Royal London supports Edinburgh bereavement charity through challenging times
Throughout 2020 to 2021, Royal London supported Held In Our Hearts during one of the most challenging times in history for third sector organisations.
In 2020, Royal London, the UK’s largest mutual life, pensions and investment company, donated an incredible £28,000 from staff when they were not able to have their Xmas night out, which was truly an exceptional contribution to our continued support of bereaved parents.
Furthermore, our events that went virtual meant that although we could not meet up in person, our supporters were still able to join us as a community by taking part in the virtual Kiltwalk and the Edinburgh Marathon weekend. Royal London did not hesitate to get involved by making vest packs that we could send out to our runners.
In 2021, during Baby Loss Awareness Week Held In Our Hearts were creating windmills to give out to bereaved families in order to remember their precious baby. The windmills were to be displayed at our offices, and given out beside Edinburgh’s Lullaby. Royal London helped us build-up an incredible 300 windmills for our parents, and we were, and still truly grateful for their support.
