STV Radio has announced the latest additions to its growing presenting line-up, with Jane McCarry, Micky Gavin and Jodie McCluskey all set to join Scotland’s newest radio station when it launches early in 2026.
Star of stage and screen, Jane McCarry, has chosen STV Radio as her first official radio home, having previously covered for STV Radio breakfast show hosts, Ewen and Cat, at their former station.
The TV favourite, much-loved across the country for her iconic role as Isa Drennan in Still Game, will join radio star Micky Gavin to present Micky and McCarry – a lively, unfiltered weekly show packed with laughs, hijinks, great music and maybe even a bit of McCarry-oke…
The duo will kickstart listeners’ weekends every Saturday morning from 9am to midday, covering everything that’s going on right across Scotland – from gigs and festivals, to community events and their top telly picks. Jane and Micky will put the listeners at the heart of their show, welcoming their weird and wonderful weekend stories from wherever they are in the country.
The pair have also been confirmed as STV Radio’s breakfast show cover hosts when Ewen and Cat are away.
Jane McCarry said: “Talking and eating are my two favourite things in the world. To get the chance to gab to folk from all over Scotland, play some cracking tunes, and have a cairry oan with Mickey over a roll and sausage on a Saturday morning is literally as good as life gets at 55. I cannae wait.”
Micky Gavin said: “Working with Jane is going to be a hoot. We met for the first time a few months ago and hit it off instantly. It’s like we’ve known each other for years!
“I’m so excited about joining STV Radio. When the bosses told me their plans and who was going to be on the station, I knew it was the right move. I’ve worked with most of the team before in various places and they’re without doubt some of the best presenters in Scotland. It feels like I’m joining the radio equivalent of The Avengers!”
As well as his Saturday morning show, Micky Gavin has also been confirmed as the host of STV Radio’s Monday-Thursday evening slot from 6-10pm. A seasoned radio presenter with a voice instantly recognisable to listeners across Scotland, Micky has hosted shows on stations up and down the country, including Northsound 1 and Tay FM’s breakfast shows.
STV Radio also confirms today that Jodie McCluskey will be the station’s late-night host, presenting the 10pm-1am slot every Monday to Thursday. Jodie is well-known in the north for her work on MFR, having been the station’s first solo female breakfast show host between 2022 and 2024.
Jodie McCluskey said: “I’m thrilled to be part of the new STV Radio family and can’t wait to get started alongside such a talented line-up. Late-night radio has a special place on any schedule – it’s an opportunity to create a community, and I’m excited to get back behind the mic to chat and share great music with listeners across Scotland every night from 10.”
