Leigh, who is a member of the firm’s Property and Infrastructure Disputes team based in Edinburgh, has won the Business Premises Solicitor of the Year award. Leigh specialises in contentious construction, and her experience ranges across the field of construction, engineering and major project disputes, both north and south of the border.

In addition to her role at Shepherd and Wedderburn, she is the Honorary Secretary and Treasurer of the Scottish Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Leigh plays an active role in the global organisation which represents practitioners from various sectors and professions, involved in alternative dispute resolution.

Commenting on the award, Leigh said: “It’s such an honour to be singled out for this award by clients and professional peers in the sector. I would like to express my gratitude to those who nominated me for this prestigious award, to the judges who chose me from such an impressive list of finalists, and to my colleagues at Shepherd and Wedderburn for all their support.”

Now in its ninth year, the Finance Monthly Global Awards recognise the achievements of advisers and organisations from across the globe. The magazine conducts extensive research before choosing the most successful and trusted firms and advisers operating in today’s complex and dynamic financial and legal sectors.
