Nairn’s scoops four award wins in 2019’s Great Taste Awards

Posted: 9th October 2019

Nairn’s the UK’s number one producer of oatcakes and number one gluten free brand is celebrating after picking up four awards at the prestigious Great Taste Awards 2019, from the Guild of Fine Food. Described as the ‘Oscars’ of the food world, the Great Taste Awards are the highest accolade for fine food and drink, and are a true endorsement of quality and taste.

The 2019 Awards saw four of Nairn’s products win a One Star Great Taste Award, the official seal of approval that it delivers fantastic flavour, and is ‘Simply Delicious’:

  • Nairn’s Ancient Grain Oatcakes
  • Nairn’s On-The-Go Mini Cheese Oatcakes
  • Nairn’s Gluten Free Rosemary & Sea Salt Flatbreads
  • Nairn’s Gluten Free Caramelised Onion Flatbreads

Thanks to a very rigorous testing process, where each entry is fastidiously blind-tasted by selected chefs, buyers, fine food retailers and food critics, it’s no mean feat that Nairn’s secured not one, but four award wins.

Emma Heath, Head of Marketing at Nairn’s, comments:

“We are delighted that four of our products were recognised at the renowned Great Taste Awards this year. We were particularly proud that one of our newest SKU’s, the Ancient Grain Oatcakes, were recognised in the awards thanks their combination of delicious, and nutritious, grains. We were also impressed our Rosemary & Sea Salt Flatbreads scooped another award to add to it’s wealth of award wins, including The Grocer New Product Award, Free From Award and the Great British Food Award – a truly award-winning product!

“As oats and health have always been at the heart of everything Nairn’s do, we don’t have to add preservatives or artificial flavourings to make our products taste great and that’s central to our overall brand philosophy of simple, natural and wholesome. It’s awards like these which are testament to our convenient and healthy range, which don’t compromise on taste.”
