Miller Homes East site managers scoop four prestigious NHBC Pride in the Job awards
Site managers recognised for outstanding quality
Four Miller Homes East site managers are celebrating after being named winners at this year’s NHBC Pride in the Job Awards at a ceremony on Friday 19 June.
Jake Telford, Site Manager at Strathmartine in Dundee, and Ewan Todd, Site Manager at Shawfair just outside Edinburgh, have both won the award for the first time. Derek Tait, at West Craigs Manor in Edinburgh, picked up the award for the seventh time, while Duncan Currie, at Antonine Brae in Bo’ness, was recognised for the second year running, both demonstrating sustained, year-on-year commitment to the highest standards.
Recognised as the most prestigious industry accolade for site managers in housebuilding, NHBC’s Pride in the Job Awards see site managers from across the UK assessed over an 18-month period against six key areas: consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise, and health and safety. This year, 450 site managers were named Quality Award winners from a field of 7,500 sites across the UK. Fifteen of those winners were from Miller Homes, including the four from the East division.
Jake Telford, Site Manager at Miller Homes’ Strathmartine development, said: “I’m really honoured to have been awarded a Pride in the Job award. At Strathmartine we are completely focused on delivering high-quality homes for the local community, and that means always going above and beyond when it comes to delivery standards and customer service. The team here work incredibly hard to ensure our buyers receive the best possible service, and I’d like to thank them for helping me win this award.”
Ewan Todd, Site Manager at Miller Homes’ Shawfair development, said: “This is a fantastic moment for me and the whole team at Shawfair. Winning a Pride in the Job award means a huge amount, and it’s testament to the hard work everyone puts in, day in and day out, to deliver the quality homes our customers deserve.”
David Mathie, Regional Production Director for Miller Homes, said: “At Miller Homes we always strive to offer the highest possible quality for our customers, and that’s reflected in another round of great Pride in the Job winners. I’d like to congratulate Jake Telford and Ewan Todd on their Pride in the Job awards, hopefully the first of many to come, and to Derek and Duncan, who continue to demonstrate excellent leadership and passion when it comes to delivering high-quality homes to customers across the East of Scotland.”
Quality Award winners will now progress to the next stage of judging, where they will compete for the Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards, to be announced later this year, ahead of the national Supreme Award winners being unveiled in January 2027.
