Tuesday 29th November 2016, Roxburghe Hotel, Edinburgh, 09:30am start

This conference will bring together Humza Yousaf MSP, Scottish Transport Minister, and speakers from Abellio and Network Rail together with a range of others to explore the future path for Scottish Rail.

The advent of a new Scottish Government with a five year term opens the prospect for discussion of rail’s place in the broader commitment to substantial transport and infrastructure spending. The 9th annual Scottish rail conference will focus on three key themes: the strategic picture for investment and renewal, partnership and delivery in Scottish rail and the broader challenges and opportunities for Scottish rail.

This conference also runs at a crucial time for rail in Scotland. In recent weeks, Scotland’s rail network has been subject to increased public attention and scrutiny resulting in an unclear picture of where the Scottish Rail industry is heading.

As well as question and answer sessions, networking and knowledge sharing opportunities, speakers will include:

Charlotte Twyning, Executive Director – Policy, Strategy & Communications, Abellio UK

Jonathan Pugh, Head of Strategy and Planning Scotland, Network Rail

Tim Hedley-Jones, Major Projects Director, Virgin Trains East Coast

Delegate rates from only £120
