Love Golf? Keep in the swing this winter!

Posted: 3rd October 2017

For die hard golf fans, who want to keep in the swing of it, even during the winter months, Edinburgh Leisure’s ‘winter golf pass’ may be just the thing. With minimal use of winter greens and no mats, it’s the ideal opportunity to keep your golf on par until the summer returns.

The winter pass is valid from 1 October 2017 – 31 March 2018 and allows unlimited access to five – six of Edinburgh Leisure’s golf courses*, seven days a week, as well as obtaining 25% off other Edinburgh Leisure activities including the gym, swimming, racquet sports and climbing, at the various Edinburgh Leisure venues across the city.

For an additional £15 customers can join Edinburgh Leisure Golf Club until 31 December 2018. For those that want to join a golf club but don’t want to be tied to one course, Edinburgh Leisure Golf Club allows customers to gain or maintain their handicap by taking part in medals throughout the year.

Other benefits include flexibility and choice that no other golf club in the city can offer; monthly medals held across the courses; and being fully affiliated to Scottish Golf, the governing body for golf in Scotland and the opportunity to get an SGU membership.

The Edinburgh Leisure Golf Club spans all six of Edinburgh Leisure’s courses which include: Braid Hills, Carrick Knowe, Craigentinny, Portobello, Silverknowes and the Wee Braids*, although this will be closed from 1 December 2017 to 28 February 2018.

Edinburgh Leisure is a not-for-profit trust which re-invests any surplus funds directly into providing excellent facilities and services to its customers. They manage 31 venues on behalf of City of Edinburgh Council, providing the widest range of fitness classes, state-of-the-art facilities and community based programmes across the capital.

Edinburgh Leisure offers a huge choice of sport and activity so there is something for everybody, from gym and swim, to golf, tennis and climbing, creating opportunities for everyone to get active, stay active and achieve more.

The Golf Membership is available to buy at any Edinburgh Leisure site and online – www.edinburghleisure.co.uk/memberships/golf.
