Scottish firm, Lindsays, has marked another successful year with a series of promotions

Lindsays, the Scottish firm of lawyers for people and businesses, has set its sights on the future with further investment through a series of promotions.

Following another strong year, the firm, which has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee, has today confirmed the following promotions and re-elections:

  • Lynsey Kerr (Private Client) has been promoted to Partner
  • Kirsty Cooper (Residential Property) has been promoted to Director
  • Darren Lightfoot (Commercial Property) has been promoted to Associate
  • Peter Tweedie (Corporate) has been re-elected Chairman for another 3 years
  • Susan Law (Commercial Property) has been re-elected to the Board for another 2 years

Alasdair Cummings, Lindsays’ Managing Partner, said:

“This has been another very solid year for our firm. Our strength lies in our breadth, and has done throughout the turbulence of the last decade-or-so. With such a wide range of legal services for people and businesses, we can withstand sectoral difficulties and continue our positive journey.

“Most importantly, another strong year allows us to invest in our key asset – our people. We want to encourage new talent to come to us, and we want to reward the great people we have. The promotions of Lynsey, Kirsty and Darren, and the re-elections of Susan and Peter, are recognition of their exceptional talents.”

Newly re-elected Chairman, Peter Tweedie, said:

“Throughout our long history we have constantly adapted and evolved, but our core ethos – to provide expert, accessible and reliable lawyers – has endured. It’s important that we continue to attract and retain the best talent the industry has to offer, and I am delighted Lynsey, Kirsty and Darren will be a key part of helping us achieve further success in the future.”

Lynsey Kerr, the new Private Client Partner, said:

“Lindsays has a long history as a leading firm in Private Client services in Scotland, and I’m delighted to be a part of its bright future as a Partner.”
