Lindsays Announces 6 Senior Promotions

Posted: 4th April 2016

Lindsays strong growth continues with the announcement of 3 partner promotions – Nina Taylor (Family Law), Kate Wyatt (Employment Law) and Sandy Lamb (Private Client), taking the firm’s number of partners to 44, as well as 3 associate promotions.

4 of the promotions involve people within the Edinburgh office.  Nina Taylor has been promoted from director to partner in the family law team; residential conveyancing associate, Kirsty Cooper becomes a senior associate; and Lauren Cook and Louise Norris become associates within the firm’s rural services and commercial property teams respectively.

The 2 further partner promotions are Dundee-based Kate Wyatt, an employment expert who has been promoted from director level, and Sandy Lamb, who was a senior associate in the private client team in Glasgow.

The appointments are closely aligned to the firm’s strategy of both developing legal services for clients across all key practice areas, and recognising and nurturing talent from within the business.

Nina Taylor joined the firm in 2013. She is dual accredited as a specialist in both Child and Family Law by the Law Society of Scotland, 1 of only 21 in Scotland.

Alison McKee, Partner and Head of Family Law at Lindsays, said: “Nina’s accreditations recognise her expertise in both child and family law.  She has a genuine commitment to helping clients and is actively helping to grow this part of the practice.  Her new role will allow her to continue to strengthen our services to individuals and families.”

Nina’s promotion is a further boost for the firm’s family law team who recently won the Family Law Team of the Year Award at the Scott & Co Scottish Legal Awards 2016.

Alasdair Cummings, Lindsays’ Managing Partner commented: “It is rewarding for the Board and our Partnership to be able to recognise the talent of these excellent lawyers. These promotions demonstrate our investment in our people, while the range of practice areas and offices involved highlights the full service nature of our client offering. We look forward to supporting them all in their new roles as they develop their careers with the firm.”
