Letter from the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster to Exporters

Posted: 11th August 2020

As discussed on our recent CEO call, the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Michael Gove MP has written to businesses moving goods between the UK and the EU and between GB and NI, to help them prepare for the new trading relationship with the European Union following the end of the transition period. The letter ties in with the Government’s recently launched Check, Change, Go campaign and highlights practical steps businesses need to take to prepare for the coming changes.

Please do share the letter within your networks, where possible targeting this to businesses moving goods as described. We have agreed with the Cabinet Office that we will not be sharing the letter with media proactively.

A copy of the letter can be found here. It would be appreciated if you, or a member of your team, could confirm intention to distribute the letter and which channels you intend to use for this purpose by email to Adam Szpala.

All best wishes,

Claire and Hannah
