Join the Very Important Supporters Club at the 2016 Homeless World Cup

Would you or your business like to support the Homeless World Cup tournament in Glasgow this July?

This year we have created a wonderful opportunity for you to take advantage of the Homeless World Cup tournament by having the chance to join our Very Important Supporters Club which will be housed in Glasgow City Chambers and from where you will be able to see the whole event laid out on George Square.  We don’t intend to take you away from watching the exciting football or from enjoying the atmosphere; what we do intend to do is give you an opportunity to hear some great speakers and join interesting debate while having an opportunity to network during your lunch hour and again at the end of the day.

The Very Important Supporters Club programme:

Monday 11th July – The Homeless World Cup:  Mel Young and team

Tuesday 12th JulyEngaging Women in Enterprise and Sport: Mick Jackson, WildHearts Group and Maureen McGonigle, Head of Women in Sport Scotland

Wednesday 13th July – UEFA Equality and Respect:  Patrick Gasser, Senior Manager Football Social Responsibility at UEFA and Piara Powar Chief Executive of FARE Network

Thursday 14th – Professional Football as a Community Asset:  Ann Budge, Chairwoman of Heart of Midlothian FC, Karyn McLuskey, Non-Executive Director of SPFL and David Duke, CEO of Street Soccer Scotland

Friday 15th – Sport and Business:  Rhona Shepherd, CPO at Red Sky Management Ltd and Stuart McInally, Hooker for Edinburgh Rugby

On Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, Senscot will be hosting short workshops that will be available for VIS members to attend. Beginning at 5pm, the discussions and debates will take place showcasing community sports organisations and engaging policy makers, corporate partners and influencers.

Monday: Not the Usual Suspects!

Wednesday: Can football for good change the world of football for good?

Thursday: Connecting with the Corporate Sector – a route to sustainable community sport?

Refreshments will be served through-out the day.

Membership of the Very Important Supporters Club is £250 per person

Corporate packages are also available

VIS’s will have their name placed on the Supporters wall of the Homeless World Cup website, will be listed in the tournament programme, will receive a tour of the site and have the opportunity to meet players and coaches from around the world – www.homelessworldcup.org
