It’s Bring your Baby to your Workout time at Edinburgh Leisure

Posted: 1st May 2017

An exciting new class for mums looking to get back in to fitness after having a baby is set to be trialled at Ainslie Park Leisure Centre in May.

The fantastic class, suitable for mums who have had their 6-week check, guides participants through:
• Pelvic floor safe exercises
• Strength exercises to help everyday movements
• Stretches and releases to improve upright mobility
• Safe core work
And, as an added incentive, mums are welcome to bring their children along to the class (as long as they stay in their buggy, pram or car seat throughout).

Fitness Class Manager, Ashliegh Murray said: “Getting back to exercise after having a baby can be a daunting prospect but these new classes will be the perfect opportunity to learn what’s safe and effective for your post-natal body and what to avoid.

An added bonus is it’ll be a chance to meet other new mums in a social environment and an opportunity to exercise without the need to find childcare.’

The Classes take place at Ainslie Park Leisure Centre, every Tuesday at 1.30 – 2.30pm (From 9th to 30th May) at the following cost:

£7.20 (non-members), £5.40 (Discount Card) or free to existing Full Fitness and Classes Only members.
