HENDRICK’S CURIOUS CUCUMBER & ROSE BAR POP-UP LANDS AT HARVEY NICHOLS, EDINBURGH

Posted: 12th October 2021

Harvey Nichols, Edinburgh is delighted to have launched a pop-up bar with Hendrick’s Gin. The Hendrick’s Curious Cucumber & Rose Bar will be taking up residence on the Forth Floor at the luxury department store in Scotland’s capital city from 7th October. Showcasing an intriguing variety of Hendrick’s & Tonic and creative cocktail concoctions, the new pop-up bar endeavours to transport customers into the world of one of Scotland’s most iconic gin brands through the art of mixology.

Naturally the drinks menu showcases the classic Hendrick’s Gin, which is created from eleven fine botanicals. The gin is famed for it’s key ingredients of rose and cucumber, which imbue the Hendrick’s spirit with its uniquely balanced flavour resulting in a smooth and distinct gin. Gin lovers can rediscover the classic Hendrick’s & Tonic serve or alternatively opt for cocktails like the ‘Hendrick’s Haberdashery’, featuring Hendrick’s Gin, Limoncello, lemon, Harvey Nichols pink grapefruit preserve and foamee.

Also firmly on the menu are tipples created using the Limited Release series of Hendrick’s Gins including Hendrick’s Lunar Gin, which has a mellow spice with a subtle citrus finish. Devised by Master Distiller Lesley Gracie, drinks include ‘Moon Tree’, featuring Hendricks Lunar gin mixed with apple, mint, orange bitters and Fever-Tree ginger ale, as well as ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’, which will feature as the Forth Floor’s signature serve as part of Edinburgh Cocktail Week 2021 (running from 11th – 24th October), and comprises of Hendrick’s Lunar Gin, crème de mure, black pepper syrup, lemon and foamee.

Limited Edition release Hendrick’s Orbium, another creation by Lesley Gracie that is instilled with additional extracts of Quinine, Wormwood and Blue Lotus Blossom also features in cocktails like the ‘Orbium Martini’, made with Noilly Prat vermouth.
For those looking for a low alcohol alternative or observers of Sober October may prefer to indulge in one of the cocktails created using Hendrick’s Atopia, an ultra-low alcohol spirit at 0.5% ABV. The art of achieving profound flavour is fulfilled through natural distillation and botanical extraction to build complexity and sophistication in flavour. Perfectly suited for mixing, customers can sip the Spiced Citrus Atopia and Tonic, which contains all the botanical flavour but none of the alcohol.
