HELEN BATTEN JOINS GENOA BLACK AS CLIENT SERVICES DIRECTOR
• Genoa Black expands its marketing division, G2B, with its latest senior appointment.
• Helen Batten joins the team from Vets Now as Client Services Director and will be responsible for growing the client portfolio.
• New junior positions are also being recruited to further bolster the team across both divisions.
• 2020/21 is Genoa Black’s most successful year to date, led by the launch of separate strategy division and rebrand of marketing division earlier this year, which clearly puts the company in the best possible position to help other B2B businesses face the future in 2022.
Genoa Black has recruited Helen Batten as Client Services Director to lead its marketing division G2B. Joining latterly from Vets Now where she was Events Lead, Helen has 15 years of marketing expertise and brings with her a broad range of experience across strategy, marketing, sales, business development, and events. Her appointment further bolsters the leadership team at Genoa Black.
Managing Partner, Gaynor Duthie, welcomes Helen to the team, highlighting that her broad sector knowledge and expertise in B2B complex businesses is a perfect addition for the G2B team, and will be of immense benefit to clients across the board. As part of the leadership team, Helen will also contribute to key business areas of innovation, strategic partnerships and talent development.
Gaynor Duthie, Managing Partner, says:
“As we push into Europe and America it’s crucial we bring in the expertise our client portfolio demands. Helen’s appointment is important for us as we look to build on the strong performance over the last year, but first and foremost, her main responsibility will be to retain the excellent relationships our clients have come to expect from us, as we grow. Helen’s remit also includes driving business development for G2B and developing the existing talent within our excellent team.”
Helen Batten, Client Services Director, says:
“Genoa Black is extremely ambitious with an increasing presence in continental Europe and the US. I’m looking forward to contributing to the future development and growth of this company both domestically and internationally. Genoa Black is unique in its 360 offering to clients and I’m relishing the opportunity to work with such a passionate team of strategic marketeers whilst being able to tap into the expertise at Genoa Strategy whenever our clients might benefit from its particular services.”
On the back of 2021 being Genoa Black’s most successful trading year with 25 new clients including 7 international clients joining its already significant client roster, this latest senior hire follows on the back of other senior additions to the team, such as Tim Stokes former SVP of Opportunity Markets joining from Sony in September, and Viv Sutherland, who joined during the summer from Morris & Spottiswood.
