G&V are delighted to announce that Edinburgh’s newest cocktail bar ‘Epicurean’ has launched to raving reviews

It’s been a busy week at G&V and we are delighted to announce that Edinburgh’s newest cocktail bar Epicurean launch last Thursday to press and last Friday to the public to raring reviews. We welcomed Edinburgh’s very first in house hotel florist having teamed up with Snapdragon, Edinburgh.www.snapdragonedinburgh.com. We also invited the Scotch Whisky Society https://www.smws.com/ and Coco Chocolate, www.cocochocolate.co.uk who provide tastings throughout the evening With an upbeat vibe creating an inviting atmosphere, Epicurean will serves aromatic infusions and colourful cocktails using home grown flowers and herbs from the hotel’s EvoGro hydroponic. I have attached pictures of our new look bar, lobby area and Evogrow. Please feel free to spread the word or come in and visit us, our doors are now fully open and the lobby really is the very best in Edinburgh.

We have gone through such a transformation over the course of the last 12 months and it is fabulous to have a bar and lobby to complement our new bedrooms. Our Evogrow will become the basis of everything food and drink related in G&V with Epicurean and our Italian restaurant Cucina using the herbs grown in the lobby area. However we continue our renovations with work planned for our spa and gym later in the year. In other bits of G&V news as part of our continued commitment to Care.Curate.Cultivate, a few of our staff members went to donate blood G&V to donate blood which was a lovely gesture and a great way to connect with the community. Our head chef Mattia visited a local school to teach students on some invaluable skills and we had Edinburgh College in to start their project designing a lamp shade, where the winning one will be displayed in one of our suites thus completing the full circle of Design Students – Budding Designers – Established Designers.  We love to connect with the local community and let everyone know what we are up to at G&V.

Cucina continues to go from strength to strength and we have attached our new White Truffle menu promotions – please share! This is a truly unique experience and one we want to share with the world. Furthermore, we source our truffles near where Italy has been experiencing devastating earthquakes – the more truffles we buy –the more we support local farmers.

The team at Epicurean took a stand at Cocktails in the City and we have included pictures of our stand below. It is fair to say that our stand was one of the most popular, a fabulous way to showcase Epicurean just before our launch night

G&V also managed to host a Yoga night the breakout area on the mezzanine floor at the end of October with pictures below.
