Glasgow Queen Street Tunnel closure – useful information at ScotRail’s dedicated section of their website
Glasgow Queen Street Tunnel will close for 20 weeks on March 20 this year. The closure is necessary to get the tunnel ready to run the faster, longer, greener electric trains that are coming to Scotland from December this year.
The railway is still open for business. ScotRail have introduced a new train plan that will keep people moving during the closure of the tunnel.
However, journeys will take longer and trains may leave or depart from a different place than normal.
ScotRail have produced a dedicated section of their website where you can access a variety of materials – from the new timetables to posters and flyers.
