Fundraisers Urged to Hit the Heights for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland

Posted: 24th April 2026

There’s just over a month to go until an adventurous charity challenge with a view gets underway.

The Arrochar Alps Challenge will see fundraisers scale the bonnie summits of Beinn Narnain, Beinn Ime and the Cobbler in the Southern Highlands on Saturday 6 June 2026.

Organised by Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS), the one-day charity challenge combines fundraising with exploring the beautiful scenery the area has to offer.

Led by an experienced team of mountaineers from Sport Ecosse, the fundraiser is a perfect challenge for beginners and experienced hillwalkers alike. Participants can choose to tackle one, two or all three peaks in a single day.

Laura Scotland, Volunteering Development Lead at CHSS, took part in the challenge with her son Matthew last year.

Laura said: “I signed up for the Arrochar Alps Challenge to do something meaningful with my son.

“We both love hillwalking and really enjoyed training together. Fundraising was a highlight too, thanks to the amazing support from family and friends. Reaching the summit of Beinn Ime and taking in the view was a special moment, knowing we were supporting such a worthwhile cause. I’d encourage anyone thinking about taking part to go for it.”

Stephanie Wilks, Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland’s Community Events and Corporate Fundraiser, said: “It’s a beautiful part of the country and a big challenge – especially for those taking on all three peaks in one day. Team spirit and support will carry people through, and we’ll be there to help every step of the way.

“We ask our supporters to aim to raise £200 in sponsorship, and we provide plenty of support to help everyone reach – and hopefully exceed – their fundraising goal.”

Registration on the day is at 8am, with walking starting at 8.30am.
