Five-star reformer Pilates studio opens in the city centre

ONE OF EDINBURGH’S most celebrated five-star spa has opened a dedicated reformer Pilates studio marking its most significant expansion in years.

One Spa at Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa Edinburgh has launched Reformer at One Spa, a purpose-built studio featuring six Technogym reformer beds, award-winning, Italian-crafted machines with precision-engineered springs, adjustable resistance and ergonomic design to suit every level of ability.

Classes will be available with sessions running mornings, afternoons and evenings: Beginner Foundations for those new to the method, Signature Flow for full-body strength and posture workout and Dynamic Reformer for more experienced practitioners wanting an advanced challenge.

The launch forms part of One Spa’s wider commitment to holistic wellbeing, bringing together movement, fitness and recovery under one roof alongside its existing spa facilities, Technogym fitness suite and renowned Escape at One experience.

The studio is the result of months of work across the One Spa team, from sourcing and designing the space from scratch to developing an entirely new brand concept.

Fiona Young, Spa Director at One Spa, said: “This has been a real labour of love for the whole team, every detail has been considered, from the design of the studio to the people leading the classes.

“We’ve watched demand for strength and mobility-focused wellness grow significantly and we wanted to create something that genuinely reflects that shift, a space that feels as considered and high-quality as everything else we do at One Spa.

“Having it here in the city centre means it’s accessible whether someone wants to fit in a class around their working day or combine a workout with a full spa visit. We can’t wait to welcome people through the door.”

Classes are led by instructor Ninette and a team of experienced Edinburgh-based Pilates professionals, several of whom have been teaching mat Pilates at One Spa for a number of years.

Single classes are available from £20, with a bundle of five from £95. To mark the opening, One Spa is offering two classes for £35 and a new loyalty reward programme is also being introduced for regulars.

The studio is open to members and non-members alike, with preferential pricing available for members and hotel guests.

One Spa has been named Best Spa in Scotland by the Good Spa Guide for two consecutive years and holds Five Bubble Luxury status.
