First West Lothian adds premium vehicles to Edinburgh airport service

Posted: 9th January 2019

First West Lothian has added newly refurbished vehicles to its fast, frequent and direct service to Edinburgh Airport to offer customers a premium mode of transport directly to the airport.

The 600 service will link Livingston Centre, Deer Park, Uphall, Broxburn, Winchburgh, Kirkliston and Ratho Station with the airport on an hourly basis, from early till late, 7 days a week. The premium service offers an alternative mode of transport directly to the airport, with extra comfort seating, free WIFI, USB charging points and luggage racks.

Andrew Jarvis, Managing Director for First West Lothian said: “We are delighted to unveil these premium vehicles for the newly launched 600 service, which now provides many people in West Lothian with a direct link to Edinburgh Airport. This hourly service provides a real alternative and I would urge people to sit back, relax and let us take them to the airport without the hassle.”

Gordon Dewar, Chief Executive of Edinburgh Airport said: “As Scotland’s busiest airport we’re a gateway to the country and we’re well aware of the importance of opening up regions across the central belt and beyond, and bus services like this make West Lothian a short journey for both business and leisure passengers as well as staff.

“We’ve greatly expanded public transport options to make getting to and from the airport as easy and accessible as possible and we’ll continue to work with providers like FirstGroup to make more improvements where we can to improve the all-round experience for our passengers.”
