Fife to Fringe: Stagecoach makes festival travel easy this August

Festival-goers across Fife are being encouraged to leave the car at home and take the bus to this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, with Stagecoach offering fast, frequent and affordable express services into the heart of Scotland’s capital.

With Edinburgh expected to welcome millions of visitors throughout August, travelling by bus offers a simple alternative to busy roads, lengthy searches for city-centre parking and expensive parking charges.

Stagecoach’s express network operates up to every 10 minutes from key communities across Fife, with customers able to travel from Ferrytoll Park and Ride to Edinburgh in as little as 30 minutes. There is no need to book in advance, allowing customers to simply turn up and travel whenever it suits them.

DayReturn tickets are available from West Fife from just £7.40 and £8.50 from elsewhere in Fife. Under-22s travelling with a valid Young Scot National Entitlement Card and eligible older and disabled concessionary pass holders can also travel free, making the Fringe even more accessible for families and visitors.

Whether heading to a comedy show, theatre performance, live music, family entertainment or simply soaking up the festival atmosphere, Stagecoach provides a convenient way to reach the Royal Mile and Edinburgh city centre without the hassle of driving.

Customers are encouraged to plan their journey in advance and buy tickets through the Stagecoach Bus App or on board before travelling.
