Our Inspiring Women in Business lunches invite Scotland's leading ladies to share their story of business success.

Resilience! You need buckets of it! Hear from 2 of Edinburgh’s most straight talking entrepreneurs on the harsh realities of building a successful business. This is a session that’ll inspire, make you laugh out loud and cry. Filled with anecdotes from Emma and Kirsty’s 10 years in business, the highs and lows and regardless of the obstacles how they’ve come out stronger and smiling every time.  

At this event, guests will enjoy beverages and a light breakfast spread as well as hearing Emma and Kirsty's inspiring story, with time at the end for some Q&A.

About Emma Little:
 
Emma Little set up ExecSpace following a fruitful career in sales, which saw her soar from selling hoovers door to door, to managing some of Vodafone’s largest clients. With the ambition of being at the helm of a large company by age 45, Emma quickly realised that the best way to achieve her professional goals whilst remaining in her home city of Edinburgh – as opposed to moving south, away from family and friends - would be to set up her own company, which is exactly what she did. Emma now successful runs one of the UK’s leading venue finding agencies and has a team of 12 people who all work out of their headquarters in Edinburgh. About Kirsty Mackenzie:
 
Kirsty Mackenzie hails from Edinburgh and grew up amidst her family’s retail and insurance businesses. Having graduated from Edinburgh University with Degree in Business, she spent the early part of her career in the recruitment industry, working for an international FTSE 250 company.
 
Seeing a gap in the market for a next-generation finance-focused recruitment agency, Kirsty created iMultiply. Since founding in 2012, iMultiply has grown significantly and now has a team of 20 located within in offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast. With plans for continued expansion. Kirsty puts a strong focus on the importance of company culture and people development and has plains to continue to grow the business, whilst remaining a niche specialist within finance and accountancy.
 
Additionally, Kirsty has considerable experience as a Non-Executive Director and is currently the Chair of retail specialists; Hi-Fi Corner. She enjoys sharing her business experiences and learnings at public speaking engagements and regularly contributes to BBC Radio Scotland’s discussions on business and employment.
 
A past winner of WeDo’s Young Entrepreneur Award, Kirsty has also been a finalist in the following awards; BQ’s Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce’s Best Performing Business, Business Women Scotland’s Best SME.
