The Chamber of Commerce is organising a trade delegation to Shenzhen in November 2019. A unique opportunity to experience China first hand, attend the All China Hi Tech Fair and link directly to Shenzhen based businesses for one-to-one meetings.

Join us for an informative breakfast and networking event with a panel of speakers including Jim Galloway, Head of Enterprise & Innovation at the City of Edinburgh Council, who will introduce you to Shenzhen, the Greater Bay Area and the China markets.

Jim will also speak about all the support available for businesses wishing to participate in a trade mission to Shenzhen in November with the opportunity to go onto the China Hi-Tech Fair
After the presentation, you will have the chance to hear from:
  • Jim Galloway, Head of Enterprise and Innovation, The City of Edinburgh Council, to introduce Shenzhen, its markets, its relationship with Edinburgh and the opportunities China has to offer 
  • Alison Bryce, Partner at Dentons, to talk about dealing with Intellectual Property regulation in China
  • Jeremie Warner, Founder and CEO of Power a Life, to share his experience of doing business in China
  • Dr Jiangtao Ma, from Edinburgh-Shenzhen Creative Exchange (ESCE) Incubator, to give his insight on dealing with the business culture in China
  • Huishan Chapman, Scottish Development International, to provide information with reagrds to the funding intervention and support availiable
