Judith Wilson, Director of EventIt, an events industry director who was inspired to resurrect the concept, said: “We are delighted to welcome Eventbrite as a digital technology partner for EventIt 2016. Eventbrite is an instantly recognisable digital brand in the global events industry and its ticketing technology platform enables event organisers to manage and run a whole host of paid for and free events.  We very much look forward to working with them at the show.”

Joel Crouch, General Manager UK and Ireland, Eventbrite added: “Organisers in Glasgow and Edinburgh have been quick to embrace online ticketing and we’re delighted to partner with EventIt to bring the next generation of ticketing technology to Scotland.”

EventIt is set to be one of the signature events of Scottish Tourism Week and will feature a parliamentary reception with the backing of Scottish Government Ministers. Scotland’s events industry is worth around £3.5billion annually to the Scottish economy which despite its world renowned events and festivals sector does not have its own annual tradeshow.

Judith added: “This is a great opportunity to put that right and to make sure we get all the planners, buyers and suppliers to grow the industry, both at home and overseas.”

Eventbrite will become sponsor for the Wi-Fi zones and also ‘iWalkers’ – roaming, digital advertising screens featuring advanced audience measurement capabilities, allowing marketers to reach and quantify consumers as they view and engage with dynamic onscreen content.

Mark Evans, Nomadix Media, “We are delighted that iWalker is involved with Eventbrite at Eventit 2016. This is a unique technology, created in Scotland and exported across the globe. It will be great to see iWalker in full swing with event professionals at this fantastic event”.
