Edinburgh Tech Company Win Big In Sustainable Innovation Fund

£130 Million Awarded To Companies Tackling Business Issues Brought By COVID

ClearSky Logic has won a £100,000 grant to create My Booking Hub, a platform that will help SMEs generate revenue during COVID.

The grant has been awarded by Innovate UK under their Sustainable Innovation Fund, and it will allow ClearSky Logic to accelerate the development of My Booking Hub – a service provider booking tool – making it available to SMEs by April 2021.

ClearSky Logic Co-Founder Darren Auld said: “We are building a truly disruptive tech platform that will help businesses serve more customers during this difficult time, and beyond. My Booking Hub will protect service providers and their customers, offering 24/7 automated booking services, cashless transactions and up-to-date COVID-safety guidelines.

The platform will enable mobile-based service companies to increase their efficiencies, while making it easier for customers to book and pay for services in a safer way. With the Innovate UK grant we can fast track development of My Booking Hub, helping SMEs generate revenue during this difficult time period.”

It’s not just ClearSky Logic who are creating solutions for businesses during COVID, with Innovate UK funding 1,103 projects, 1189 UK businesses and totalling over £130 million in support across the UK with their Sustainable Innovation Fund.

Innovate UK Executive Chair Dr Ian Campbell said: “In these difficult times we have seen the best of British business innovation. The pandemic is not just a health emergency but one that impacts society and the economy.

“ClearSky Logic’s new SaaS product My Booking Hub, along with every initiative Innovate UK has supported through this fund, is an important step forward in driving sustainable economic development. Each one is also helping to realise the ambitions of hard-working people.”
