Edinburgh Napier University, Business School student placements: a call for hosts

Posted: 1st December 2020

Applied, inclusive learning is at the heart of all we do at Napier.  As a result, most of our courses have a work-based learning experience or a work placement for our students to ensure we’re as connected to business as we can be.  And both students and hosts really benefit from the experience.

We are currently looking for new partnerships for student placements or ways to enhance existing partnerships.  This is a fantastic opportunity for your organisation to work with high quality students who are keen to apply theories and techniques learned through their studies to real world situations.

Some of the benefits of providing a student placement are:

  • A cost-effective solution to skills gaps
  • The development of staff through mentoring or supervision of the student
  • The provision of new ideas and fresh perspectives to your organisation
  • The chance to devote time to a project which you have not had the capacity or resource to do

Our highly adept Placement Team will support you throughout the process and can also provide help and guidelines for working with a student on a remote placement.   We’d love to hear from you: whether you’ve had a student before or are keen to start!
