Edinburgh International Film Festival at the Hawthornden at the National Galleries of Scotland
National Galleries of Scotland are delighted to have been a host for Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) film screenings in the Hawthornden Theatre, in the National.
The Hawthornden Theatre is the ideal place for conferences, talks and screenings, and is accessed via the Main Entrance of the National located in East Princes Street Gardens, only a five-minute walk from Waverley train station.
The theatre can seat 120 people in comfortable, tiered seating and features a screen and a small stage area perfect for hosting talks and lectures. The adjoining private space is perfect to break out for drinks and refreshments, bringing the total up to 190.
The events team at the National Galleries of Scotland work with businesses, organisations and individuals who hire the space to host conferences, lectures, business meetings, AGM’s and film screenings.
Contini, the catering partner at the National can also provide a selection of drinks, canapés and food for events held within this space.
Isabella Miller, Director of Audience at the National Galleries of Scotland, said:
“We are delighted to have the International Film Festival here at the Hawthornden Theatre! It is such a flexible space, right in the heart of the city, and amazing to experience after hours, when the gallery itself is closed.
We host a wide variety of events here, from business conferences, to artist talks, to film screenings all year round. We are delighted that the EIFF are showing some great films here and using the accompanying space for drinks and networking.”
There are many unique spaces at the National Galleries of Scotland that can be hired for private events, dinners and conferences.
