Edinburgh host Eurocities AGM in 2018
The City of Edinburgh has been chosen as host of the Eurocities AGM and Conference in November 2018.
This is a significant and high profile opportunity for Edinburgh as the conference is the annual political meeting of the network, with over 500 political and senior delegates expected to attend from cities right across the European continent.
Edinburgh has been a member of the network for over 25 years, and has actively drawn on its membership of over 130 cities to exchange of good practice in urban and city development, and to share in projects and partnerships. The conference is an excellent showcase of innovation across cities, and how we tackle shared and common issues and challenges.
The theme for the 2018 conference will be Creative, Competitive Cities, and the role of citizens and young people in particular in shaping the future of Europe. For the first time, the event will include a youth ambassador programme.
The conference is being organised by the City of Edinburgh Council in conjunction with the Eurocities Brussels team. There are opportunities for Edinburgh companies to sponsor aspects of the event, which will be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre from 28-30 November 2018.
