With more than 170 entries received annually and over 620 guests attending the Awards Dinner, the Edinburgh Chamber Business Awards are one of the city’s most recognised celebrations of business success.

Terms and Conditions

  • Entrants must be members of the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce at the time of submission. Exceptions apply to the International Business of the Year, and Leith Business of the Year categories. For the Inspiring Partnership Award, at least one partner must be a Chamber member.
  • Entries are free.
  • Members may enter multiple categories but must complete a separate submission for each.
  • Only one entry can be submitted by each organisation in any category.
  • Businesses can nominate themselves or an individual member of staff where applicable.
  • The closing date for submissions is 5pm on Wednesday 11th November 2026.
  • Shortlists will be announced in early January.
  • Due to high volume of applications feedback will not be provided on unsuccessful submissions.
  • Sponsors (and individuals linked to sponsor organisations) cannot submit entries for the category they sponsor.

Judging Process & Timeline

  • Entries open: 2nd September 2026
  • Entries close: 11th November 2026
  • All submissions are checked for eligibility before being passed to judges.
  • Each award is judged by a mix of sponsor representatives and independent external judges to ensure fairness and balance.
  • Each award is scored against the criteria set for that award.
  • Judges review entries in December and agree the final shortlist and winners.
  • The shortlist will be announced in early January 2027, ahead of the Awards Evening on 25th February 2027 at the EICC.
