Edinburgh Airport Hosts its first ever Recruitment Day

Posted: 23rd February 2016

Edinburgh Airport will host its first ever Recruitment Day today where the public have been invited to attend and speak with a range of prospective employers including retailers, airlines, Police Scotland and car rental companies.

There is no need to register for the free event hosted at the Hilton Edinburgh Airport Hotel which will be held between 10am – 2pm (today) Tuesday 23rd February.

Richard Townsend, Head of Retail and Property at Edinburgh Airport, said:

“This is the first time we’ve had a Recruitment Day at Edinburgh Airport and we are all very excited about it.

“With dozens of our partner companies and organisations attending – including many of the new airside retailers who are in the process of creating 200 new jobs in the first few months of this year – there will be an abundance of great opportunities including; managerial positions, new careers for school-leavers, opportunities for part time workers and people looking for a fresh start if they are perhaps returning to work.

“Airlines, car rental companies, Police Scotland and many more – including Edinburgh Airport – will all be in attendance and ready to meet prospective employees and we hope that people will take advantage of this great opportunity.

“We had over 11 million passengers flying in and out of Edinburgh Airport in 2015 – and then another bumper month in January – so this Recruitment Day is a further tangible sign that we are continuing to grow, create jobs and make a positive contribution for Scotland’s economy.”
