DM Hall’s Summer Ball at Prestonfield House will raise funds for its two charity partners, Alzheimer Scotland and Macmillan Cancer Support

Posted: 16th May 2018

A sumptuous night of glitz, humour and networking – all in a very worthy cause – is to be staged by DM Hall, one of Scotland’s leading independent firms of chartered surveyors, at Edinburgh’s beautiful Prestonfield House on Friday, 22 June 2018.

And as well as lots of fun, the evening will be dedicated to some serious fundraising on behalf of DM Hall’s two charity partners, Alzheimer Scotland and Macmillan Cancer Support. Both charities have been assisted by the firm over the past 18 months and the fundraising Summer Ball is expected to boost their valuable support for people living with dementia and cancer.

John Albiston, senior partner of DM Hall said: “I am delighted to say that all but a handful of tables for this exciting event have already been sold and we have been humbled by the fantastic support we have received for this inaugural event from our colleagues across the entire Scottish business community.

“We are promising our 300 plus guests a first class evening of wining, dining and entertainment as well as, we hope, a great opportunity to show their support for the vital work done throughout the country by our two charity partners, Alzheimer Scotland and Macmillan Cancer Support.”

The Summer Ball, which will be hosted by the popular Scottish entertainer and broadcaster, Grant Stott, will comprise comedy slots, music, dancing and a charity auction which promises to include a range of exciting donated prizes.

Linda Thompson, Corporate Fundraiser for Alzheimer Scotland, said: “It has been a real pleasure to work alongside DM Hall in their fundraising efforts and we are looking forward to attending the Summer Ball where we will have the opportunity to talk about our work to help support people living with dementia and their families across Scotland.

“All monies raised by the DM Hall team will go a long way to boost our local support, services and advice which will help us to get closer to achieving our aim of making sure that nobody faces dementia alone.”

Laura Foreman, Regional Fundraising Manger for Macmillan Cancer Support said “We are delighted to be working alongside DM Hall in preparation for their Summer Ball in June. The money raised throughout this partnership including on the night will help up support more people living with cancer in the local community.”
