Cyrenians is looking for donations of up to 10 pre-loved but good quality laptops to enable remote working with our clients.

Posted: 23rd April 2020

Like so many organisations and individuals, Cyrenians are working hard to minimise the effect of this current pandemic on the already marginalised homeless community. We need support to make this happen.

Cyrenians is looking for donations of up to 10 pre-loved but good quality laptops to enable remote working with our clients.

Our Outreach Team is currently supporting those on the sharp end of homelessness with lifeline support; providing advice, emotional support, and emergency food packages to over 100 people, having secured them hotel accommodation in the centre of Edinburgh. Although this situation is temporary, Cyrenians are working to ensure as much lasting positive change can come from it as possible.

One particular fear is that for those people that we have spent a long time working with, who were on the verge of securing accommodation, that they now don’t drop out of the system and have to start again. Laptops will ensure our Outreach staff have the means to make benefits applications, access advice and information and keep in touch with the Homelessness Network.

Whatever you can do to help us, thank you.

Please contact Ali Kerr (AliKerr@cyrenians.scot), Senior Relationship Manager at Cyrenians if you can help!
