Courtyard Edinburgh, from Marriott International, a contemporary four star hotel in Edinburgh’s city centre, which is set to open this autumn and provide employment opportunities for 100 residents, has appointed two managers.

Michael Nawrot takes up the position as Operations Manager, joining from the Malmaison Hotel in Dundee where he has worked for the last two years. Prior to this, he honed his hospitality skills at the Waldorf Astoria Caledonian Hotel in Edinburgh.

Working alongside Michael is HR Manager Libby Robertson who has over a decade’s worth of hospitality experience. Having worked at the Handpicked Hotels’ Norton House for the last six years, Libby will be responsible for providing a full HR service to the Courtyard Edinburgh’s employees.

Douglas Winfield, General Manager at the Courtyard Edinburgh, said:

“I am delighted we have Michael and Libby on board. Not only have both of them worked in Edinburgh, but they will play a key role in getting the 240 room hotel up and running this autumn especially as we are currently looking to create and fill 100 positions ranging from Reservations Manager, Sous Chef, Sales & Marketing Co-ordinator and Night Managers.”
