Council seeking input from city employers – impact of COVID on travel to work
The Council, and business community partners such as Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce and Federation of Small Businesses, have been tweeting this week to share the request for businesses to register interest in a piece of research to find out intentions around travel to work as we move through the moving COVID-19 situation.
Please do register your interest, your time and contribution is much appreciated! The Council are looking for as many businesses as possible to participate, of a mix of industries, locations, and sizes. We would also seek to share results with you, so that organisations can hear about the planning being undertaken by other organisations to potentially inform their own planning, regarding the easing of lockdown and return of workplaces, as set out in Scotland’s route map.
We are aiming to offer local support in line with the national guidance through this piece of research, and through the free Workplace Travel Planning support which is now available again through Stantec, by contacting edinburghworkplaces@stantec.com. Stantec can give you bespoke advice for your workplace on a range of transport related issues, such as advising on funding available for cycle-related improvements for your workplace to address recent increases in demand, or new wellbeing tips for homeworking, depending on your organisations’ needs. You may also find ‘Way to Work’ a useful resource as well.
